A Semana de Xangai em São Paulo

Nesta terça-feira 25, participei da solenidade de abertura da Semana de Xangai em São Paulo. O objetivo é fortalecer os laços entre São Paulo e Xangai que são consideradas cidades irmãs desde 1988. Foi assinado também um acordo de cooperação turística para incentivar o intercâmbio cultural entre as duas cidades. On Tuesday 25, I attended the opening ceremony of Shanghai Week in São Paulo. The goal is to strengthen the relationship between São Paulo and Shanghai that are considered sister cities since 1988. It was also signed an agreement regarding to tourism cooperation to improve cultural exchange between the two cities.

 Durante a semana haverá uma programação intensa para promover a cultura chinesa no Brasil. E para homenagear a China nesta semana a Prefeitura de São Paulo mudará a iluminação da Ponte Otavio Frias de amarelo para vermelho vivo. During the week there will be several events to promote Chinese culture in Brazil. In order to honor China this week the City Hall of São Paulo will change the color of the lights of  Octavio Frias’Bridge from yellow to red.

A biblioteca Mario de Andrade recebeu a doação de 369 livros sobre a cultura de Xangai e a Expo Xangai 2010. The library Mario de Andrade received a donation of 369 books about Shanghai’s culture and Expo Shanghai 2010.

A cantora chinesa Jasmine Chen e o músico brasileiro Filo Machado apresentaram-se durante a cerimônia de abertura e cantaram músicas populares brasileiras e chinesas.The Chinese singer Jasmine Chen and a Brazilian musician Filo Machado sang popular songs Brazilian and Chinese during the opening ceremony.

A Exposição com 90 fotos está dividida em dois temas: “Xangai Atraente” e “Expo Brilhante” que retrata os resultados da Expo Xangai 2010. The exhibition has 90 photos divided into two themes: "Shanghai attractive" and "Shining Expo" which is about the consequences of Expo Shanghai 2010.

Para mim a Expo Xangai 2010 será sempre lembrada como a exposição mais fenomenal que já visitei. Não apenas pela grandiosidade das instalações, mas principalmente, por ter tido uma foto que eu fiz exposta no pavilhão de São Paulo. For me Expo Shanghai 2010 will always be remembered as the most phenomenal exhibition I have ever visited. Not only because it was a fantastic Expo but mainly for having a  picture that I took in São Paulo’s pavilion.

A Exposição no Centro Cultural Vergueiro mostra vários aspectos da cidade de Xangai e poderá ser visitada até o dia 1º de novembro de 2011. The Exhibition at Centro Cultural Vergueiro shows various aspects of the city of Shanghai and it will be open to the public until 1st November 2011.
