Igrejinha da Pampulha: uma obra de arte

Nas minhas viagens mundo afora já visitei inúmeras igrejas imponentes e famosas. Não seria capaz de dizer qual delas é a mais linda, a mais luxuosa ou a mais importante. O que posso dizer é que a Igrejinha da Pampulha é aquela que me fez sentir a leveza da oração que nos aproxima de Deus. Talvez seja porque ao entrar na igreja fui envolvida pela sua luminosidade e transparência dos vidros, pela  vista da lagoa ao fundo, pelo painel do Portinari no altar retratando São Francisco, pela paz dos azulejos azuis como o céu lá de fora, pelas inconfundíveis curvas do Niemeyer e da sua genialidade, pela beleza pura que acolhe todos que ali entram passando pelos jardins do Burle Marx. In my trips around the world I have already visited several magnificent and famous churches. I am not able to tell which one is the most beautiful, the most luxurious or the most important one. However, I can say that the little church of Pampulha is the one that made ​​me feel closer to God through my prayers. Maybe it was because as I entered in the church I found myself surrounded by its luminosity, the lightness of the glasses, the view of the lake  in the background, by Portinari’s panel portraying San Francisco at the altar, by the peace of blue tiles like the sky outside, by the unique curves of Niemeyer’s architecture, by the beauty that welcomes whoever comes in walking through Burle Marx’s gardens.

 

Visitei a Igrejinha da Pampulha do dia 8 de dezembro de 2012. No dia seguinte eu iria correr a XIV Volta Internacional da Pampulha.  http://audmara.blogspot.com.br/2012/12/correndo-xiv-volta-internacional-da.html  Fui pedir proteção para fazer uma boa corrida. Rezei.  E num silêncio profundo agradeci a Deus por estar ali, pela oportunidade de conhecer mais uma obra grandiosa do Niemeyer que eu tanto admiro. I visited Pampulha’s Church on 8^th December 2012. The next day I was going to run XIV Volta Internacional da Pampulha   http://audmara.blogspot.com.br/2012/12/correndo-xiv-volta-internacional-da.html   I went there to ask for protection in the race. I prayed and in silence I thanked God for having the opportunity to be there and visit one more work of Niemeyer that I admire very much indeed.
